Design Inspiration

Material pairings and finish combinations from real Deetya showroom displays and past projects.

Pairing Veneers with Metal Hardware

Natural veneer grain reads warmer and more intentional against matte black or brushed brass hardware than against polished chrome, which tends to visually compete with wood grain rather than complement it. If a wardrobe or cabinet front uses a natural veneer, we usually steer clients toward matte-finish handles and hinges for that reason.

High-Gloss Kitchens: Acrylic vs. Laminate

For a genuinely mirror-like kitchen shutter, acrylic outperforms even high-gloss laminate on reflectivity and depth — but laminate's durability-to-cost ratio still makes it the more common choice for full kitchens, with acrylic reserved for an island or feature run where the extra shine justifies the cost difference.

Louvers as a Room Divider

Wooden or WPC louvers used as a slatted partition between a living room and a home office let light and air pass through while still creating visual separation — a popular request for smaller apartments where a solid wall would make both rooms feel cramped.

Flooring Transitions Between Rooms

Mixing engineered wood in bedrooms with SPC or vinyl in kitchens and bathrooms is common, but the transition strip detail at doorways is what makes or breaks the look — we always recommend finalising flooring choices for adjoining rooms together, not one room at a time.
