Long before a plank becomes a door frame or a bespoke dining table, it starts as a log selected for grain, density, and moisture behaviour. Deetya sources sawn and kiln-dried timber from both direct imports and long-standing local mills, so architects and carpenters working in Nagpur's heat and humidity get wood that has already been conditioned for local conditions rather than shipped straight off a container.

Burma Teak, and What Makes It Different

Burma teak remains the benchmark for a reason: naturally high silica and oil content that resists rot, warping, and termites without chemical treatment. We stock it alongside imported Oak, Walnut, Ash, and Maple for projects that call for a lighter or more contemporary grain, and FSC/PEFC-certified plantation wood for budget-sensitive or sustainability-driven briefs.

Grading and Moisture Control

Every batch is kiln-dried to 8–12% moisture content before it reaches our yard, and graded FAS, Select, or Common depending on clear-face yield – the detail that determines whether a plank is destined for a visible tabletop or a hidden structural member. We cut to your specified dimensions on-site, so there's no separate milling step before your carpenter can start work.
